The Rowan County Republican Women are proud to announce a countywide student contest in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary!

We invite all students in Rowan County to share their creativity and patriotism by answering the question:

Why Am I Proud to Be an American?

 Submission Categories

Students may submit:

• Essays

• Artwork

• Digital Presentations

Open to all students in Rowan County.

 Prizes (Awarded by Age Group)

• Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: $50 Gift Card

• 3rd – 5th Grade: $75 Gift Card

• 6th – 8th Grade: $100 Gift Card

• 9th – 12th Grade: $150 Gift Card

 Important Dates

• Submission Deadline: May 31, 2026

• Winners Announced: July 4, 2026

• Public Display: All submissions will be on display from July 4 through December 31, 2026

For participants under the age of 18, all communication will be made only with the Parent or Legal Guardian.
